BIG 92.7 FM in continuation to celebrating “Tamizhanin Perumai” is all set to enthral its listeners with a fully packed on-air and on-ground content on Superstar Rajinikant’s latest Movie “Kuselan”. Apart from enjoying Kuselan’s songs on-air, listeners of BIG 92.7 FM will now be able to catch interviews of the movie crew and take part in various on-air and on-ground contest based on Superstar and the movie.
Starting 2nd June 2008 BIG 92.7 FM’s BIG Vanakkam show hosted by RJ BIG Dheena will feature trivia about the movie along with featuring the movie crew on-air. There will also be on-air contests around Kuselan’s songs and Superstar’s punch dialogue.
In terms of on-ground, there will be a signature campaign and BIG 92.7 FM’s BIG bus will go across to various places to take signature from Superstar’s fans who would want to wish him all the best for his movie. Superstars cut-out will also be taken across and his fans will be given a chance take pics along with the cut-out. BIG 92.7 FM also plans to conduct Kuselan look alike contest. BIG 92.7 FM, the only station in Chennai which celebrates “Tamilian Pride” today announced the winners of the largest talent hunt on radio ‘BIG Singaara Singer’. The winner announcement happened in the presence of eminent personalities like music director Vijay Anthony, playback singers Sangeetha and Mahathi. Winners will now get a chance to become playback singers in Mr. Vijay Anthony’s forthcoming movie
After the rigorous on-air preliminary rounds and on-ground semi-finals four contestants were short listed for the final round and among them Ms. Daphne Kumaraswamy and Mr. R Srinivasan were announced as winners today which happens to be “world Music day”. BIG 92.7 FM also conducted a SMS poll where thousands of listeners voted for their favourite voice.
Famous Kollywood actress Chaya Singh who made everybody tap their toes with her awesome item number “Manmada Raasa” in the famous film ‘Thiruda Thirudi’ was present in the BIG 92.7FM studios.
While interacting with RJ BIG Kanmani, she spoke about her latest film ‘Vallamai Thaaraayao’ which will hit the cinemas on the 16th of this month. The movie is directed by debutant Madhumitha, former assistant to Gautam Menon. Interestingly the date of the film release coincides with the Chaya Singh’s birthday.
The young and bubbly Chaya excitingly shared her experience about the shooting of the movie which revolves around emotions and relationships and shared glimpses of her character. While talking about IPL matches, Chaya Singh said that she does not support any particular team but supports players who perform well in the matches.

February 4th is recognized as world cancer day and BIG 92.7 FM, as part of its endeavor to be the Radio Station that reflects “Vibe of the City”, today kick started an innovative awareness activity called “The Skeleton Squad” to spread awareness on “Smoking causes cancer”. The Skeleton squad consists of people wearing skeleton outfits and will sport various messages to spread awareness on “no smoking”
The Skeleton squad went across to various parts of the city and will made smokers its victim. Wherever the squad found smokers it went across to them and sported various messages related to “Smoking causes cancer”
