t_shirt.jpgt_shirt.jpgFor quiet sometime I’ve been wanting to write about different innovative methods corporates use to promote their products but the only thing which was stopping me to do so is that we cant see much innovative marketing stunts happening in Chennai or at least I’ve not seen that eye catching or what is called as “Experiential Marketing” stunts so far in Chennai.
But what I saw yesterday in Kodambakkam high road made me to change my mindset cos I was witnessing a Marketing activity which was way too different from what I’ve seen so far or have heard so far. It was a “Giant T-shirt” activity by BIG 92.7 FM about which I later came to know that it was an activity to promote and to spread awareness for it on-air activity “Thanga Kondattam”.
Let me mention a little about the Giant T-shirt. its a huge T-shirt of 10 ft in width which fits 5 people together and BIG 92.7 FM had 5 such T-shirts. when a total of 25 guys got into the giant T-shirts and started walking on the road, the whole traffic came to a stand still. heads were left turned towards the Giant T-shirts. the whole scenario was amazing. now thats what I call a out of box marketing gig. I couldn’t resist myself from clicking pictures and I’ve uploaded the same. njoy.
